Overview
Job Description
This business is part of a large group of companies that employ over 1,800 people and the UK and work with brands such as Jet2.com, Papa Johns & McDonalds to name a few.
This particular brand in the portfolio is the market leader in the UK for supplying “goods not for resale” – which encompasses many things that a business needs (not a nice to have!) to operate.
They have a proven track record of developing sales talent – with their current Sales Director starting out as an apprentice 10 years ago. They’re now looking to add their next sales superstars to the team.
What’s in it for you…
Earning Potential – your base salary will be £22,000 but you’ll be able to earn commission from day 1 – earning a % of every single £ you bring in to the business. There’s plenty of kickers and additional bonuses that have regularly seen other people in the team earn £10k + commission cheques!
Progression – as mentioned above, the current Sales Director started as an Apprentice and now is responsible for managing a large part of the business.
Socials – previous socials have included a day out at the races, regular themed sales days and much much more!
Training – you’ll be trained and supported by people that have worked for the business for 10+ years so they know exactly what it takes to succeed!
Responsibilities…
As an Account Manager, you’ll be given a book of “warm” accounts – businesses that are either currently spending or have spent in the past. You’ll be responsible for getting in contact with these businesses and looking to sell more product lines to them. Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Achieve sales targets and meet KPI
- Cold calling! Yes, although these businesses might have spent in the past, you still might need to speak to people that you have’t spoken to before!
You…
- Resilient – sales isn’t an easy job – you’ll have evidence of where you’ve had to deal with difficult situations in the past.
- Competitive – you’re someone that always wants to improve and do the best that they can
- Financially driven – after all, the better you perform the more money you will earn!
- Listening skills – someone who will be able to listen and truly understand their customers needs.
