Role: Business Development Manager

Location: Salford Quays (4 days in office/1 WFH)

Sector: Finance/R+D Tax Incentives

Salary: £40k-£45k basic, (uncapped commission)

 

 

About the company:

 

The business operates in the R&D tax incentive space, helping other businesses grow and develop through various avenues of innovation funding, financial advisory and capital allowance services. The sales team has recently gown to a headcount of 8 and now the business is looking for a new Business Development Manager to come in and support their growth.

 

The role:

 

Business Development Managers are pivotal in prospecting and converting new business opportunities, particularly by assisting clients in making Tax Credit claims with HMRC. This role involves updating CRM systems and advancing technology and renewable energy initiatives. Utilising strong sales acumen, a deep understanding of complex tax incentive products, and the ability to influence decision-makers, they self-generate lucrative contracts.

 

The role involves a consultative approach spending time throughout the sales cycle understanding the needs of their clients and creating bespoke strategic solutions to support them to maximising their revenue potential at all opportunities.

 

Key duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Full 360 sales role. From prospecting to closing.
  • Massively encouraged to do F2F meetings in person as its not a demotype of sales process.
  • Partnership focused, important that strong relationships are built & maintained

 

Qualifications and experience

 

  • 2+ years B2B experience in the R&D sector
  • A proven track record of excelling in a self-generated 360 sales role
  • The desire to become a product expert across numerous tax incentive schemes.
