Business Development Manager – R&D Tax Credit Services

Location: New York (Remote considered for experienced candidates)

Salary: $90,000-$100,000 + Commission (OTE $200,000)

 

A high-growth firm specializing in R&D tax credit services is seeking a Business Development Manager to join immediately, with the potential to hire additional team members in the coming months. This opportunity arises as a result of recent U.S. tax legislation that has significantly increased demand for R&D tax credit support.

 

About the Role:

As a Business Development Manager, you will own the full 360° sales cycle — from outbound prospecting and cold calling through to deal closing and client handover to technical teams. The role is fast-paced, target-driven, and comes with significant earning potential and career growth opportunities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive outbound sales activity, including cold calling and outreach
  • Set and lead meetings with prospective clients
  • Manage the full sales process through to closing
  • Collaborate with technical consultants post-sale to ensure seamless onboarding
  • Maintain accurate sales reporting and forecasting

 

Candidate Profile:

  • 1–2 years of experience in R&D tax credit sales or a similar consultative sales environment
  • Familiarity with strategic partnerships and client referral processes
  • Proven ability to generate new business and manage high-volume outreach
  • Resilient, self-motivated, and results-driven

 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary $90,000 – $100,000
  • OTE of $200,000+ for achieving sales targets. Top performers earnings £300,000+
  • Competitive commission plan with quarterly and annual bonuses

Location & Work Setup:

  • Preference for candidates based in New York
  • Remote opportunities available for experienced hires
  • Company is opening a new, larger New York office to support expansion

 

Interview Process:

  • Two-stage process with fast turnaround
  • Initial phone interview with sales leadership
  • Final stage may include an in-person interview in New York
